Oh no, I hope they find your stand. Or pay for it, or something!

I loved MJ, even in all his weirdness. I never believed the accusations, unlike singer R. Kelly who is on a video having sex with and peeing on a teenage girl, yet he is NOT in jail. Ugh. Anyway.

I'm glad your move is working out so well. Considering the distance your belongings had to go you did pretty well getting most of them in one piece.

I've had some of the same thoughts about MJ, how great talents are sometimes accompanied by equally epic emotional struggles and suffering.

Everyone is different, of course, but I wonder if this struggle has something to do with quality of metorship and parenting an artist receives as a young person. MJ suffered a lot of abuse as a child. His performances in the Jackson 5 were brilliant, yet mature beyond his years and there must have been some emotional price to pay for that later on.

I wonder if his life would have had a more positive trajectory if his talent had been able to mature at a more leisurely pace with more formal talent development. Music schools, art and writing programs are not perfect of course, but ideally they provide mentorship and a safe place for developing talent.
