Another chance to win a signed copy of DEMON INSIDE!

I’m a Dame for a Day at the DEADLINE DAMES site! I’m blogging about pressure, and giving away a copy of the book, and you should all pop over and visit!

And if you haven’t spent any time on the Dames site, have a wander-round, because it’s seriously cool. Nine awesome authors: Jackie Kessler, Lilith Saintcrow, Keri Arthur, Devon Monk, Kaz Mahoney, Keri Arthur, Jenna Black, Rachel Vincent, Toni Andrews, and Rinda Elliot. Lots of great posts. Cool links. It’s the place to be, especially today, when I bare my insecure, neurotic writerly soul for your entertainment.

So come on by and say hi!

Funny thing, I went on to Barnes and Nobles’ website to see if they’re planning on having Demon Inside at my local B&N and you know what? They’ve already got it and am ready for me to pick it up. I’m just surprised because I thought the book won’t come out until Tue, the 28th. Sorry my post doesn’t quite line up with your blog topic, though I did enjoy reading your interview/thoughts on Deadline Dames.

Lol, you can make any comment you like, Grace, I appreciate it! Yeah, I went to my local B&N yesterday to give the bookseller who handles their fantasy section a copy, and they had their stock ready to shelve as well. I know Amazon has started shipping copies as well.

Most books don’t get “hard” release dates, where the books are held in back and not permitted to be shelved or sold until the actual release date. On the one hand, it’s great because readers get the books sooner. On the other, sales made before the actual release date don’t count for bestseller lists or anything. I don’t think I have much of a shot at a bestseller list, lol, so I’m just glad readers are getting the book. Amazon has almost sold out its stock already, although I don’t think that actually means anything. :)

That’s great that the response to the new book has already been so positive Stacia. You certainly deserve it. Also, thanks for a bit of inside look into the world of book printing. It’s interesting and something that I know nothing about.

So glad I saw your post over on Deadline Dames – I’m a lover of UF and now I have another excuse to go to Borders !!! ‘Cause my to be read pile isn’t quite big enough 😉
BTW really enjoyed digging up my own fears to share – was rather cathartic, thanks for the prompt !

Thanks Ban! Lol it was kind of cathartic, wasn’t it? I didn’t expect it to be, but I was pleasantly surprised.
