It’s that time of year again

…it’s my birthday. Which means it’s time for my annual Birthday Wish Delurking post.

It’s very simply. Because it’s my birthday, what I would really like is for those of you who don’t usually comment to comment today. Just say hi. Tell me how you found me, or why you keep reading. Tell me something about yourself. Tell me anything at all. I know I have a lot more people who read than who comment, so I’d love to know something about you.

So…please do!

Happy B-Day Stacia…hope it’s everything you’d like it to be! I found you/your books originally through the Juno website and your wonderful editor there ❗

    Lowering lurker shields…

Okay, I have commented in Twitter before, but I figured “what the hell.” I found you through another author’s comments in Twitter. Most likely Mark Henry. Upon checking out your bibliography, I picked up Personal Demons and have it on my “To Read Soon” stack (as opposed to my “To Read Whenever I Have The Time” stack).

I am an aspiring author with a day job, and apparently I am the urban fantasy connection for wienie whistles. πŸ˜‰

    Happy Birthday, Ms. Kane!
I started following you on twitter, I don’t recall through whom, and just sorta stuck around. As for something about me – hrm. I hope that the ascot will return to style, so that I will be seen as something of a fashion icon.

A while back, I found a series of blog entries you made on LJ about structuring a novel. Since then, I’ve been a semi-regular reader of your blog. I must admit I check your blog more since I started following you on Twitter.

I like your blog for several reasons. 1) You have an interesting way of looking at the world. 2) You are willing to use your time to give fledgling writers insights about the craft and the industry. 3) Your words make me giggle at times.

About me: I write Urban Fantasy and fantasize about writing horror and romance. Likes: dogs, books, tattoos, and cornbread. Dislikes: pee on toilet seats, crowded places, salad, and haters. Favorite way to spend the day: Two lane blacktop and a Harley full of gas.

    Happy Birthday!
I’m trying to remember how long I’ve read your blog and I know it’s been about 3 years now. You were one of the blogs I found fairly early on, if memory serves…but I cannot recall where I first discovered you. Probably via Miss Snark or Evil Editor. Do you remember?

    Happy birthday! :)

I rarely comment, so I figured I should delurk, too. I found you during last summer’s sex series from a random link someone posted, and never left. πŸ˜‰ You’re a really smart, kickass chick and I love to read what you write, whether it’s your blog posts or your books. Only read one of those so far, but I’m working on more.

Something about me? Hmm…I’m a music fiend, and love it almost as much as writing. Stories with a melody? Hell yeah, I’m sold.

Happiest of Birthdays, Stacia. I found you through the League of Reluctant Adults. I stay because I really enjoy your writing.

Something about myself – I’ve lived in London, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Anguilla, BWI and some other places. My favorite 2 places in the world (so far) are the Isle of Skye and Venezia.

Happy, happy birthday! I hope you had a fantastic, memorable, wonderful day! I’m not sure when I found your blog, but I’ve read you for a good while and keep coming back.

About me? I’m a mom to five mostly grown kids, married, in one of those dysfunctional Brady Bunch family things. I stumbled upon writing four years ago, and now I wonder how I ever lived without it!

Happy birthday and all the best!

As for how I found your blog, I read and enjoyed Personal Demons and came across your blog from what I think was the Juno website (though it may have been Fangs, Fur & Fey as well). I followed the mini series about heroes you did last year and the Sex Strumpet series and stuck around.

It occurs to me that I may never have posted on your actual blog. So, am I de-lurking? (Despite wishing you happy birthday on lj and twitter?)

Happy birthday, I don’t think I have ever posted here but I bug the crap out of you on twitter :)

About me, married with one son, 31 yrs old and I have pink hair , I’m pretty boring other than that

Well I’ve actually commented twice (see the last two posts), but I found your blog just a little while ago.
I’m pretty sure it was from twitter, one of the authors I follow linked to your blog. Althought, I’m not sure.

Something about myself… I’m a 20 year old woman from Sweden, that decided a few years back that I want to be an author but it took me until 6 months ago to actually start working towards it. And I’m not disciplined at all, so it’s going slowly yet, but soon I’ll take more action (I hope!).

Best wishes on your birthday. :)

I’m waiting for you to shop your “demons” novels to SyFy as a series -it would beat the hell out of what’s on there now!

I first “met” you on the Absolute Write forums. Probably the PA thread. :)

Oh, thank heavens! *updates her feed reader* Thanks for the reply comment on your LJ blog to let me know you had a regular website-slash-blog feed!

*blows a raspberry to the imaginary Livejournal bouncer and sashays over to the WordPress nightclub*

I’ll delurk. I follow you in my feed reader… I’m pretty sure I found you when I proofread one of your stories when you were December.

I started following you after the series you did on how to pick an epublisher, which I still recommend.

Ok. I’m going back to lurking now… πŸ˜‰
