I mean, I've worked in food service and have honestly never seen the fabled "sneeze muffin" or anything like that, but I have seen--and done myself--the "grabbing the smallest, oldest item" or "letting the plate sit a few extra minutes" or whatever. I just figure, you can tell what kind of person someone is by how they treat people like waitresses, counter clerks, fast-food employees. It’s really never a good idea to be rude to those who fix your food, no.
