A couple of videos

Okay. I’ll be doing a regular blog post tomorrow, but I wanted to quickly post these videos. They’re both from Dragon*Con 2009; the first is me reading Chapter Two of UNHOLY GHOSTS, and the second is me discussing how “Downspeech” came about.

The first video is about 20 minutes long, so just be aware! (The second is only a couple of minutes.) I hope you enjoy them both; and since I hate the way I photograph and especially how I look on video, please be kind!

I keep looking at what I think is a bottle of liquor next to you, almost off-screen.

I think you look great and you sound smart. :) But I sympathize. I always feel like an idiot behind those tables, and I HATE being filmed.

Lol!! That’s a bottle of Arizona Peach Iced Tea! I actually had four drinks on the table, to help my throat (because we were a few days into the con and I was already getting a bit hoarse); a Full Throttle, the tea, a Mountain Dew, and the bottle of water supplied by the con organizers, which was nice of them.

Thanks! Yeah, I think I look just fine in person, but for whatever reason, I never think pictures or video of me actually looks like me.

I figured it wasn’t alcohol, but I’ve been on late night panels with drinks, and it’s fun. I’m actually doing a session at my next conference called “Short Story and a Beer.” I expect we’ll run long… :)
